Scott explained the whole process over the phone, and then the Energy Men team came to my house on a Saturday. They spent a few hours examining the house (attic to basement), then depressurized the house to check for leaks and photographed the results with an infrared camera. During their inspection they explained what they were doing and finding. Afterward, they produced a report that detailed a plan of action to make the house more energy-efficient, starting with low-hanging fruit (the most bang for one's buck). Although we have not yet followed up on the plans, we hope to do so over the summer and then can get back to you about how much money and energy we are saving or our changed comfort level in the house. We are looking forward to getting the work done and in fact this was one reason we selected Energy Men--they not only audit your house, they also do the work to make the necessary changes.
